As I continue my exploration of building portfolios and publishing sites built on Markdown, I am focusing my efforts on academics, including professors, postdocs, and PhD students.

I know a few academics; I have been a PhD student myself, and I believe that academics can be a good fit for this interest.

Academics are often technical, and they can deal with technologies such as git and a static website generator like Jekyll; however, they are also busy and might appreciate having the configuration hassle of those sites limited to a few clicks.

In addition, templates such as academic pages still mix code and content, which makes it less than ideal to edit.

I am researching whether a service or a product could help some acedemics to show their best work!
