About

About this Page

This page is built with LeFolio.md, a modern open source static site engine designed to make publishing and editing beautiful websites effortless by editing markdown.

Fork it and try it yourself on GitHub.

LeFolio is built with usability first, and favors editing with Obsidian. This allows to simply drag and drop images in the content. The code and the content is clearly separated so you can publish only by editing markdown and a configuration file. Or you can ask your Coding Agent to write React components if you want more configuration, or ask him to personalise the theme, all the power to you.

Features

  • Live reload: edit and see the changes immediately, even switching theme or editing configuration
  • Deploy on GitHub Pages
  • Built-in Academic template
  • Customisable themes
  • SKILLS.md files to teach your coding agent how to edit and customise the site
  • Math notation with MathJax, diagrams with Mermaid, etc.

How it works

LeFolio is built with Next.js, so you get the flexibility of React and the hosting simplicity of a static site.

About me

profile

My name is Olivier, and I'm a Software Engineer with experience in Academia. I was a PhD Student in Computer Graphics at TU Berlin, where I worked in the Computer Graphics team under the supervision of Bernd Bickel and Marc Alexa.

I worked at several companies as a Software Engineer, mainly using C++. The two main threads in my career have been UI and 3D technologies. On one side, I participated in building in-house UI engines for mobile applications; on the other side, I worked on 3D graphics, shaders, and game engines.

Notably, I worked at Massive Entertainment, a Ubisoft Studio, on the Game Engine for Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, and at Abstract on the RSX engine.

Nowadays, I am focused on making the academic publishing site feel effortless and smooth, freeing academics' creativity so they can showcase their best work and focus on their craft
